Since 1999, The Annual
Collaborative Cookout has been one of the
highlights of the summer season in Boston, attracting
thousands of young urban professionals and their families with
free
food, various activities, scenic locations in which to
socialize & re-connect, and multiple DJs providing that
perfect summertime cookout soundtrack!

Although the event has evolved, we will continue
to incorporate the goals that inspired the Collaborative
Cookout, which are:
- Provide a fun-filled day of
music, games and socializing for all
ages;
- Provide an excellent
opportunity for people to relax and
network;
- Provide an opportunity
for participating organizations to thank their
volunteers, partners, patrons, and employees for their
support;
- Show the power of
collaboration and connectivity between community
organizations and community
businesses;
- Increase civic
participation & show support for non-profits
serving communities of color; and b
ring
attention to various issues of importance to the
community.
Additionally, on site will be numerous healthcare
and volunteerism organizations distributing information,
conducting health screenings and recruiting volunteers
in an effort to address Health Disparity issues in our
community and to recruit men and women as volunteers for
organizations that depend on volunteers to impact
change. |
