About BostonOffline.com

Coming from a background that mixes technology with social development, the founder, Cabral Thomas, came up with the concept of BostonOffline.com to address what he felt was something missing in the community: A central online marketplace for people of color to interact with each other in a positive manner and share information and resources. While there are a number of websites that do this on a national scale, he determined a locally based site would have more relevance and also be able to quickly adapt to the changing needs of this particular community. In turn, this base can be utilized by entities to advertise.

As evidenced by the enormous success of companies like Google and Yahoo, online advertising is becoming a prime avenue of large and small companies to cost-effectively reach their target audience. In addition to connecting people on the Internet, we also host a variety of events to facilitate “in person” connections. Known for our popular Professionals of Color After Work Mixer Series™, we have also hosted several business networking sessions and are co-producing the 1st Annual Dorchester Holiday Bazaar (see back for details).
